Project:
Cinematic Scenes is an experimental project that has now reached its 3rd volume, it is located in the realm of cinematic Hip Hop / Trip Pop, but draws on influences from Soul, Jazz, Latin, Cumbia and Electronic music to name a few. Sampled from obscure records Wax One attempts to create imaginary scenes from films he has yet to produce and the aim is to take the listener on a journey into the dark with Wax One.
Bio:
It was due to his love for Graffiti, Wax One was influenced by the streets. Born in Oslo, for then to move on to London, UK and later to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Wax One has developed a unique taste & approach to creating music, he uses a multi layered digital language based both on software and hardware to create his own blend of music. Coming from a Hip Hop background, Wax One was influenced by the Trip Pop scene during his time in the UK, later he dug deep into the golden past of Brazilian Music and has a large collection of Brazilian records that he DJs from time to time.
